Kendall County, IL | I run a lateral drive irrigation system (Reinke) that uses RTK with Trimble antennas and a 900 mhz radio to operate. All my other equipment is John Deere/Greenstar but I don't currently use RTK. I know 900 mhz radios don't have much range...
Is there a way to use Starfire receivers in place of the Trimble receivers so I can eventually use this base station for other machines? The Trimble antennas are coaxial cable so I'm guessing at the very least the Starfire receiver will need its own power? Since the radio antenna is there a RTK Greenstar receiver would only need to supply GPS position.
I assume if you have your own Starfire base station with RTK unlocked receivers at the base station and in tractor no subscription is necessary?
