Cen Ks | If you were to enter a one-and-done pre-emerge weed control contest for soybeans , what products would you select?
This is a hypothetical question. We have many chemistry choices, some old, some new. Lets get creative,lets build a one pass pre-emerge
weed control program keep beans squeaky clean.
Lets set a few guidelines for the contest:
1. Your suggestions are from a crop consultants perspective, not as the growers.
2. You will be pitted against other crop consultants in your community also competing in the contest.
3. Growers will be randomly selected to follow your recommendations
4. Cost doesn't matter, weed control is the only objective.
5. Your recipe will be used on a variety of fields with varying amounts of weed pressure.
6. The chemical selections will include an initial burndown and any combination of residual products.
7. Fields will be preselected for a broad spectrum of weeds types and pressure as well as crop rotation.
8. Fields will compared before harvest,the consultant with the highest overall weed control wins,(not sure what!)
