| Been starting groups of 120-150 holstein bottle calves for last 10 years for myself but I am putting up a new facility for 240 head and I am going to custom raise 2 groups a year. Highest death loss has been 3%. but have always gotten good calves in and take the time to look at each calf daily. Milk, meds, vaccines, and feed is all supplied by cattle owner. What is a fair rate for feeding from day 1 to 12 weeks? 16 weeks? | |
