![](/profile/get-photo.asp?memberid=18938&type=profile&rnd=944) Central Nebraska | I documented in a previous post my homemade RTK base station for less than $1,000. In reality I'm probably just over $1,000 but its still affordable. Yesterday I moved my antenna and receiver to a 6' tall post in my yard that has better visibility and less chance of being hit and/or damaged. At the same time I installed a calibrated antenna from Ardusimple instead of the Trimble AG25 I'd been testing with. And then I could not receive any corrections on my test devices. I've since figured out that if I change the antenna type back to a Trimble Zephyr or None on my receiver board everything works. I was under the impression that antenna descriptor didn't matter but I do not know what is contained in a calibration file. Can I over ride this somehow? |
