Galena IL | My granddaughter asked for a truck to go through the parade. I asked her which one she wanted she said just your pick up. She and 14 other graduating students received a scholarship from the Emily Franz foundation. She said probably only five or six will show up. I am happy to say all 15 showed up. They were very nicely dressed nicely an acted very polite. One of the young gentleman Seeing that there was not room for all 15 in the truck said Let the ladies ride and we will walk along behind and hand out pamphlets. I estimate their must’ve been about 6000 Spectators at the parade which I think is pretty good for the town of about 1200 people. Happy Fourth of July everyone... Dennis
