NW Washington | Sea salt has a few trace elements in it but it is mostly sodium chloride. It all depends on what is in the seawater when it is evaporated.
After thought, I think the reason you see "sea salt" on your snacks is that it is an attempt to make the product more attractive to potential buyers, or a "sales gimmick".
