| You need to go down south for sweet tea.
Grandpa took me back to Virginia where he was raised. They had a stove dedicated to making tea. I think the recipe was 10 pounds of sugar to 1 gallon tea. Heat until the solution liquefies. LOL!
Actually it was done so the maximum amount of sugar was suspended. If one put a dab of sugar in or something else to allow the crystals to form the sugar would precipitate out.
I think the correct term my science teacher used was super saturated. | |
