NW Washington | We have a relative that I am sure suffers from PTSD from Viet Nam. He would never admit he has a problem, but I think a lot of his bad beer-drinking habits can be traced back to some of the stuff he saw in Viet Nam.
There is a lot of info on the web about PTSD and its history. I remember talking of "shell shock" when I was young.
