Bathtub soak in Epsom Salts will also penetrate the skin and increase magnesium.
Some forms of magnesium have a more laxative effect than others. Many over the counter constipation remedies are magnesium based. Other types like magnesium threonate and magnesium glycinate are better tolerated and absorbed.
