Central IL | I had terrible acid reflux when I was in my 30's. Turned out the problem was sleep apnea causing me to suck the acid up out of my stomach and damaging my esophagus valving. Sleeping with a CPAP has reduced the problem by at least 95%. Also helps not to eat too much too close to bed time so stomach not full when sleeping. I keep a box of soda crackers nearby and a couple times a month I will waken during the night with acid reflux, eat 2 or 3 soda crackers for instant relief and am good for the rest of the night. | |
