Not sure about diet, but being more active and working out has made a noticeable difference for me. I feel better mentally after a workout of any kind. Could be a walk, cardio on one of our machines, or strength training/stretching.
Haven't done any running in over 40 years. Played some goof around b ball in college. Fish and John are almost making me want to try it again. Gaining function every day since a hip replacement in Feb. Discovered I can go up steps 2 at a time again. Haven't been able to do that in years.

Start with cutting back on sugar and carbs. Move a little more. I think you will see positive results both mentally and physically.
