N.E. MT | These steers are 20-21 months. May-June calves, they have been on coast ration since December just to maintain in hopes of market rebound. The next crop of steers are way ahead of where these were last February it has been great feeding with the above normal temperatures. We are fairly dry here, lot conditions are pretty good. Found a pile of open cows to help take care of the monster silage pile. Laid them in for right around 900$ nice frames but thin. Feeling good about that right now, but will feed them till mid April hopefully get into the 1.20’s with them as white fats. | |
