| Saw my drug rep today at the farm show and it reminded me I need to get an order in for a nasal vaccine of some sort for the calves this year. I had intended to get PMH-3, but ion singles it is over $6 a dose, Inforce 3 is about 1/2 of that. Reason am thinking of doing this is last 2 years we end up with a few calves at a few weeks of age that have gotten a respiratory issue, have cured with antibiotics, but want to prevent vs. treat. Fact that it was cured with antibiotics makes one think the PMH 3 would be a better fit because it has a bacterial strain it covers, or is it aviral problem with a the bacterial respiratory as a secondary infection so will the Inforce 3 also work? The Inforce 3 may give us more coverage at weaning in the fall as I remember it the bacterial strain in the PMH-3 they say only gives about 3 months of protection. What are your thoughts???? | |
