| Last year was the worst we ever had at 20%. That was cattle calving on their own in desert as well as at home watching and assisting. Percentage little higher at home too many cattle in confined place. Idaho state avg's for natural mortality is 3.9%, Utah figured at 5%. I know of ranches lost 50% calf crop last year. Most brutal winter I've ever seen. I would call it a 20% loss of calves in 2023' within a 200 mile radius of our place last winter.
