Well that's just funny. This dog story has been on my mind. I live a sheltered life apparently. I just can't imagine in my head a dog that just stays in one field watching sheep all the time. Thought that only happened in cartoons



It’s just what some dogs do. The old cartoonists didn’t just make that up.

There were actually two dogs with that group of sheep, the one that was born into it and one that just showed up in December and never left. We have no idea where that one came from, we posted it on a couple of lost pets pages and watched for posts looking for it, but nobody claimed it. After a few days the sheep seemed to be cool with it, so we started feeding it.
