NS Canada | My windbreak / calving shelter has 14ft of floor and the 2 foot blocks, so 16 ft of coverage. 2x10s, 2 ft on center are around 20 ft long, and you can see there's around a 15" sticking out the front, and a 10" or so overhang off the back. Pitch is just under a 3. I have yet to make a small overhang off the front to try and cut off some of the rain that blows in.
