Wisconsin | I like this, but don't use a garden hose, get a piece of fire hose or lay flat hose so you can flow big water at low pressure. Even a cheap inverter run off a vehicle battery would run a sump pump with plenty of capacity to do it fast and no hassle priming. That's assuming the tank is close and not more than 5-10' higher elevation
A trash pump will work fine. In good shape and filled with water, it should prime immediately, use the same fire hose or lay flat hose. In bad shape they can be a pain to prime, that's why I'd prefer an electric sump pump unless you already have a good trash pump. | |
