This is correct. When recording inside a field boundary, it will automatically put that "Application" in that field in Ops Center. By changing the product it will create a different coverage map which will then be easily removable in Ops Center. Leaving the product the same will add that flush layer to the current work in Ops Center and will screw up your reports.
