I did email ShopTeacher, who fabricated and shipped the appropriate cable/adapter within minutes. :) I decided to go with a 3-pin Weather Pack connector off of the 12-pin Deutsch connector, so that ultimately that connector is wired identically to how it would be wired if I had the official Ag Leader cable 4000310. That also means I can use existing 3-circuit header extension cables to run between the App Rate Module and the implement lift switch. Then he also fabricated a 3-pin Weather Pack to 2-pin Weather Pack adapter so that the lift switch can connect to the extension.
Sounds like a well thought out plan so that you can use genuine Ag Leader extensions, implement switches etc. in the future. Since I made my extensions and adapters, I went with just the two pole Weather Packs for the implement switch branches and extensions. I have good access to Weather Pack supplies and experience in working with them and can easily repair or change them as necessary.
I could have used 3 pole Weather Packs in my extensions etc. since the cost of a 2 pin connector versus a 3 pin connector with one spot unused would be negligible. |
