Northern Indiana | My opinion is to stay with local base station RTK whenever feasible.
Will be interesting to see how so many that have switched from radio/modem RTK to SF-RTK get along this year. No doubt the 7000/7500 is really good on SF-RTK, but I have heard from a few specialty producers that ran SF-RTK last year and were a bit disappointed. Also need to consider that RTK goes to 100% accuracy within a few minutes vs SF-RTK will take a little more time to build accuracy up to 100%.
For clarity here - you can pay to transfer the RTK Permanent activation from a 3000 or 6000 to a 7000/7500 and put a radio or modem on the 7000/7500. However there is little to gain unless the base station is upgraded to a 7000/7500 itself for the additional satellite constellations
