Subject: RE: Speed from Ag Leader to JD350

Near Intersection of I-35 & I-90 Southern Mn.
My experience is that the radar out commands need to entered to turn ON the radar messages with a 6500. They may need to be entered again if an update is performed or a reset to defaults is performed. Otherwise the radar Out will remain On from day to day.

I was expecting to need to do this when I traded in one of my 6500s for a 7500. Apparently radar Out is On by default with the 7500 or someone turned it on for me since I did not need to enter a code. Since my Deere Planting tractor does not have a Deere radar or GPS, I use an adapter cable to connect the radar speed out from the 7500 back into the tractor like a radar gun. The tractor dash then has both radar (actually GPS) speed and transmission speed. I am able to view PerCent slip.

This simulated radar out could be used as a speed source for some other device if needed.
