Near Intersection of I-35 & I-90 Southern Mn. | The first time I did mine, it worked. The next day it didn't work and I typed in the code again and it worked.
I learned that after you type in the code you must type in a second line. I forget if the second line is just SAVE or if there is a bit more to it but it does contain the word SAVE.
Then the option will stay active until you do an update. After an update you would need to type in the code and the SAVE messages again. Since the updates are fairly rare this isn't much of a problem.
Just this morning I was putting a GPS cable for my 6500 in the new to me Hagie STS-12. The hole in the floor was a bit too small for either end so I disassembled the GPS connector end. Mine is a single channel cable with a speed branch which I'm not using in the Hagie. We ran the cable through the floor and reassembled the GPS connector. They are fairly easy to disassemble and reassemble if you are careful.
I tested the 6500 sitting on the ground and it eventually got GPS and WAAS correction so the cable was routed to the roof. We did notice the circle icon on the lower left corner on the operating screen. I had not seen that in my other installs since so form of assisted steering is used in the other rigs. I'm assuming the circle Icon is there to use if the direction gets confused when backing into a corner. With a Hagie this is not quite so likely. In actual spraying conditions, the 7500 from the planting tractor will be used.
