| I can commiserate, but I don’t have much for advise.
Had a bull calf born this morning that just acts kinda dumb. Stands up fine and kinda looks for the teat but struggles to find it. Took a lot of work to get it to suck the first time but it eventually got going and sucked for a good while.
Tried again 3-4 hours later and it acted just as dumb as the first time. Decided it might not be hungry yet and gave up.
Gonna try again here shortly. Thankfully the cow is very calm with me being in there with the calf.
Little shavers are worth so dang much you want to do everything possible to make sure they get started right.
