Used it in heifers several times over the last 40 years. It is my preferred method vs CIDRS. The downside is that you need to plan ahead ~35 days before you plan to breed to get everything set up properly to feed it when you should.

I have always used it in a TMR, not top dressed. I’m not sure I’d be comfortable knowing that everyone got the minimum requirement of .5mg per head per day if I had to sprinkle it on uniformly myself. Adequate bunk space is critical. If someone gets crowded and doesn’t eat the minimum, it’s no big deal in a feedlot situation where you are suppressing heat. In a sync protocol, heat expression and resulting pregnancy are the ultimate goals.
