| Full disclosure: I am a Tuff-Built dealer, if you are close you are welcome to come look at our set-up. E-mail is good. Squeeze is nice if they start jumping around and you squeeze them they will settle down most of the time. Another advantage of a chute over a headgate and gates is if you get the right one the bottom half of the side will open to check bulls or start a calf, very nice and sometimes important features. If you are looking, get one where the bottom 1/2 hinges open not with the panels that lift out. If you are handy you can manufacture something if you have the time, new headgate is about 1000, new double sided squeeze chutes start at 3950. Here used equipment is quite high, watched a old Foremost chute, basically a headgate with gate on each side, no squeeze, wood floor and no way to open sides or part of the sides sell for about $1900 plus 10% buyers fee Saturday. | |
