| Copper sulfate called Blue Stone some times. We are sulfur dehiscent in the pasture grasses for cattle so some put a handful a week in a 3 to 500g water trough. It will kill any fish you have in a water trough as well, so some don't like it for that reason. But really keeps algae out of the trough. Also not good if you run sheep or goats with the cows, as there needs are much less and they can be over dosed from the copper.
But being in California I know nothing of a Cobett waterer. As I am guessing made for freezing weather and not a large tank. | |
