Interesting you used a sire search to find Architect. He is a really good bull without the numbers. We have calved heifers to him the last two years and I have to say they come easier than the numbers indicate. His cow family is really good.

Hmmmmmmm - - - - 'they come easier than the numbers indicate.".

There is LOTS of information that is missing in the 'numbers'.

Things like feed (silage tends to make for easier calving - - fresh young grass makes for slick insides), water, (a water with higher levels of dissolved solids will result in less consumption - - make for somewhat tougher calving), level of concentrates (doesn't take much additional fat deposits in the reproductive tract to change things here - - - especially for heifers!!!), exercise (its obvious but animals kept in smaller areas just don't get as much), that's just off the top of my head.

IMO the numbers are part of the game but the rest of the game is also important.
The numbers CAN (and all too often do) bite you.
