I hear you on the "impossible" cows. We calve outside, so if a cow has a calf every year with no trouble, sometimes it takes a few years to find out they are impossible to deal with. These two cows will be hamburger before pasture turnout for sure.
By the way, we saved one calf, and one was too far gone (probably never nursed to begin with.) Thanks everyone for the replies.
