North Central Iowa | If I remember correctly, that is used when inputting corrections via the serial port. Most recently/ typically for a Bluetooth to serial adapter getting cellular corrections. I suppose a “radio” would be similar if you had a local base transmitting CMR corrections.
The ez guide 500 won’t hold RTK very long if the corrections drop off. Like 15 to 30 seconds at best. The quality setting doesn’t seem to make much difference on rtk, maybe none at all?
And yeah, if it drops to WAAS, steering drops out. Only way to continue on with the ez steer is to manually switch to WAAS via the gps settings or wait for RTK lock again. Line tends to jump quite a bit when switching between WAAS and RTK. | |
