Although the intention is good, I have seen where the plastic bags trap moisture inside which causes problems of its own. I once saw where a farmer had put a plastic bag over his Raven 440 on his open station tractor. He had tied the bag quite tightly around the 440. The result was that the moisture in the trapped air inside the bag condensed inside of the 440 display making it difficult to read. Had to use the Control C trick since AgTalk timed out again.
Yep, saw the plastic bag used a few times on those cables out the back of the tractor. One time the plug was all sorts of corroded and moisture inside the bag. Tried cleaning and cleaning and ended up needing to buy a new cable, not great |
