| I came upon a cow in labor trying to claim another's calf one time. The owner of the calf was a young cow and the cow trying to steal was mature. I tried to drive her away with my horse but she refused to leave. I rode through the rest of the cows and when I came back the dominant cow was leaving with the calf she wanted. I trailed the young cow to a corral and went back to pick up the unwanted calf. I can't remember but I think she took it no problem. Sometimes you have to work with what you've got. | |
