Missouri

What you're looking for is working its way to the market place, but it looks like it's coming in a package that many will not be a fan of.

Be careful with combining mongrelization and embryo transfer if you're looking to create homogeny. That program is more geared toward someone trying to create one grand slam that will more than pay for the three failures it took to get it.

I'd find a purebred breeder you like and trust and ask them if they have anything in the tank that fits your needs. A lot of purebred producers have F1 matings in their tanks that they never got around to using because F1s just aren't their market. They also tend to have a lot of "boring" matings that the market never fully developed a big demand for. These "boring" matings are often some of the most consistent and predictable because they didn't create the change freaks or outliers buyers like to pay too much money for. If you're not trying to sell bulls or females, you might even ask about working out a cost plus deal on running one of their cows. If they're already running cows, running one more older proven cow through the chute for double the cost of production isn't an unusual deal. It'll be cheaper than market price on eggs and the producer gets to put a few safe bucks in their pocket for their work.

You can also watch SireBuyer's classifieds. There's always a bunch of eggs on there and occasionally you can catch someone emptying a tank at very affordable prices. I don't believe they have a dedicated section for commercial crossbred eggs though.
