What does everyone feel is the best implant for the backgrounding phase in both heifers and steers. The cattle are on feed and not in pasture. 47Mcal diet today. 475-525lbs today. Will background them up to 875-925lbs. What implant helps keep them the greenest but also get the daily gain and feed efficiency advantages? Thanks for all the help.
Following… I finish cattle so I have been giving Rev XS/ XH at 750ish#. Since I grid everything I am going to try synovex choice (less hot than the rev but a shorter payout window). I grid everything so I want to see how it affects my performance and how it affects my grading.
I have pondered the idea of giving a low potency implant at the same weights you are talking about. Maybe something like ralgro? Perhaps someone more knowledgeable than me can weigh in |
