East of Broken Bow | I have had really good luck with Interstate Deep Cycle AGM batteries for my solar fencer. A tick over $30 for a 6 volt one, and I just double them up for my 12 volt fencers. I first got them because they were the only people who had batteries on hand that would fit inside my fencer enclosure.
Replaced a set last week on a 12 volt fencer, I wrote 2016 on them with an ear tag pen so I know when I put them in service. I figure that's as good as I'm probably gonna get for $60 something these days.
ETA, I have 4 solar fencers, and have used the same Interstate batteries in all of them as I needed to, and I'm pretty sure those were the first ones that went bad.
I have 'heard' that the new Interstate batteries might not be as good as the ones from a few years ago, but I guess time will tell.
