NWIL | I plant following triticale with the intention of two cuttings of wet bale/wrap. First year I was told ~25lbs, thought that seemed low for my intended usage and from what I'd read. Drilled 50. Since then I've gone to 70-75 and intend on staying at that level. I'm not doing a lot of acres, so the seed cost for me isn't a huge factor, and I feel I get higher feed quality and tonnage at the higher rates.
I also broadcast 50 lbs of N for each cutting. Its pretty easy to see where the spreader runs out on the last pass.
