NWIL | I've got a cow herd and farm on some of the best soils in the world.
I enjoy the cows, a guy better if he has them. I'm also of the opinion with cattle that a guy is wired towards the cows or feeding. I personally don't have interest in feeding out calves, but I sure do enjoy striving to raise good heifers that will go back into cow herds. But the bread and butter and what keeps this thing rolling in my environment is the crops. I also have a mechanical aptitude and enjoy machinery which helps on that front quite a bit. I enjoy checking the fields as a crop grows just as much as I enjoy drinking a beer watching cows graze on a summer evening. In my personal situation, growth that has occurred and the prospects for the future also heavily tilt in favor of the crops.
