I really fear for the future of this country, not because of outside influences , but the death of a vibrant investigative journalism industry and the rise of poll driven flavor of the moment news. Much of what is reported as "news" belongs on the editorial page. The sorry state of what passes as news is exacerbated by social media, some idiot can make a statement online and instantly it is all over the country, previously some idiot made a similar statement in a bar and everyone could see who and what he was and apply the correct amount of credence to the comment, not nearly as easy online. I am by no means a flaming liberal either fyi, but this country better wake up and be real careful about supporting Fascism, it will sink us 100x faster then Socialism.
