West Central Iowa | I would set wood corners (maybe even a brace depending on the length of each stretch), use steel T-posts, and two strands of high tensile with a HOT fencer.
That's what I did on rented pasture with poor fence. Make sure to wrap up as much of the old stuff as you can, otherwise it will somehow end up making contact with your hot wire and shorting it out.
