Subject: No luck with our calves lately, 50% mortality rate

North Liberty and South Bend, Indiana
Since January we have had a 50% mortality rate, about 40 births and 20 still alive. Attributed first few to cold wet weather but it's getting down right frustrating now. Most calves are born and seem fine for a day. Try to make sure we actually see them nurse off the cow. But by day 3 either so weak they can't get up and even bottle or tube feeding doesn't help or already dead. Had a few that seemed weak and had cold noses basically from birth. Looking for any ideas on maybe typical causes or vaccines/medications we may need to start administering. As of now we give absolutely nothing. Quit about a decade ago with any vaccines and had zero issues until recently. No new cattle come in except a bull now and then.
