Williamsport IN | Have it in my hay fields too, I’ll cut around big thick patches but found a stalk or two makes no difference. Started cutting my grass hay high and early, let it get a good regrowth before winter, same with my pasture. Hemlock loves bare dirt, especially when it germinates in the late fall early winter
First pic is where they put riprap on the creek bank to stop erosion. Cows never go there and it’s hard to establish grass between the rocks
Second is where I burned a large cotton wood tree the trunk is still visible
Third is my worst area, been cleaning up downed trees disturbed a lot of dirt but grass is slowly coming back, this pasture is also prone to flood so I don’t pasture it till august-September
