Stimho - 5/28/2024 22:36 We had the same deal this year along with a neighbor. Would watch calves try to suck and appear fine for 1-3 days and bam dead. Never got mil stomachs empty. Selenium/vitamin deficiency tongues wouldn't work when sucking and just flop around outside the mouth. Talked with 4 different vets and finally one suggested a vitamin shot as they had been seeing a deficiency in grass/ hay the last couple years. 6hrs after the first shot the calves where pros at taking a bottle.
