SE Iowa | Honestly driving around the state for work I would say corn is easily the most uneven I have seen since 2019. Some places worse, some places better, but as a whole not “excellent”. Needs some sun and warmth. Some of it will come back yet and be fine with good weather. All things considered my stuff is probably in the good category. Don’t look too close at the hail damage though from last week. By next week I hope you won’t be able to even tell. Will finish planting tomorrow. In my county I’d probably say 15-20% excellent where the field drains well from slope but didn’t wash, we’re planted earlier, and have more tile. | |
