Good Ol' East Texas
Milk will be trucked in from South Dakota and surrounding areas. River view is building more dairies in South Dakota. Daisy is looking ahead in years. The dairies in the Texas Panhandle and Southwest Kansas are starting to run low on water. Only matter of time before they start going out of business. Some already scaling back. Milk is already shipped from one area to another area at least 600-1000 miles one way.

I am predicting in the next 5-10 years the amount of dairies in the Texas panhandle and Southwest Kansas is going to be half or less than what it is now. Hard to ship silage into these dairies from 100 miles away or more like they are currently doing. So these dairies will have to move somewhere else of we will have another shortage which will create mass expansion in other parts of the country.

That being said Daisy probably strategically planned and placed their new plant anticipating this in the next several years and figured this would be a good central location. The Daisy dairy in Paris is not a big dairy and milking around 500 or so cows.
