It is best to apply before the year you are going to seed down, there are limestone quarries NW or Eau Claire WI, I do not know how far from you they are. It will take a fair amount of lime to get where you want to be. In my experience what ever the lab tells you to apply it will take more to get your ph to where it needs to be. There are lime type agents coming out of the twin cities from drinking water plants, I do not know what you could potentially get with it such as heavy metals or chemicals.
