Malta, Illinois | I don't think you should be required by law to wear a seatbelt or a helmet on a motorcycle. It should be personal choice. I also think you are a moron if you don't wear your seatbelt. They were putting seatbelts in cars long before it was the law and some people still wore it. With the advent of harness type belts your odds of surviving a crash are a lot better with than without. Yes there are stories of people burning to death or drowning because they couldn't get out of their belt. A lot better odds of you getting tossed out of the vehicle and having it land on you than burning or drowning. It should however be your choice. Same for helmets on cycles. | |
