Boone Co. Iowa
I would agree about the uneven corn.

I drove by a field of corn planted in the "early early" window. Looks really good. Probably planted the first week of April. Guy who raises a lot of cattle got his planter out early, and stuff looks good. I have 200 acres of corn that was planted late, May 17th. Just coming up. Be interesting to see how if yields.

My daughter takes riding lessons "down by the river" and so it feels like I see a different world of the farming on my dropoff and pickup from there. Guy was doing tillage and I assuming planting beans on that drive last night.

Anyway, I suppose some heat and sun will make all the corn look pretty good in the coming weeks. The weeds took off here after the Memorial Day Monday.

Hoping we get a chance to market the 2024 crop leading up to June 12 report. Field to field, and within the fields, corn is very uneven.
