Northwest Illinois | As mentioned, 10 miles south of us there are many fields too wet to plant, some with standing water. We are in a lucky area. Maybe 3 % of our corn was planted in wet conditions, but we've had several rains since then and those areas are emerging. Population won't be as high, but very acceptable. The rest of our corn and beans I would rate as excellent condition. T hat could change in a couple of minutes if we catch one of those bad storms. | |
