He/she never said or even insinuated what your mind read. It is actually a great question coming from a young person.

To answer the op: inflation is definitely not hurting me with paid for land. Not helping either since I'm not likely to sell the land.

I have personally minimized on equipment. Way easier to sell what I wasn't using for several years. Just one example out of 20: Gave $15k for a 3950 Case IH disc brand new 20 years ago. Other than grease, I replaced 5 of the 8 tires. Sold it with the original blades and bearings for $10k. Sat outside about half its life. I used it a bunch for almost free for 15 years. Once I bought a new soil finisher, I never used it unless I had just cleared a corner of a field.
