| Isn't your family's Debt/asset ratio significantly less than 1984?
My dad/family had a negative ratio during the Reagan years. And so did about 90% of my home county. all while trying to patch up Gleaner M's, JD 6600's, 550 Massey's, etc
To admit things are not somewhat different today is just being blind. I'd guess 2/3 of the combines in my home county are paid for. And the vast majority of the land.
Good Lord, farmers were borrowing money to buy boats in 1979. I could still name a dozen off the top of my head. I couldn't name one today that would. Not one.
