Alberta | I hear you in western Canada also. Contrary to what the climate activists are preaching about, encroachment is the biggest problem with our boreal forest in western Canada. The forests have been so long without a burn, that they are dying from the inside out. The forests expand on the outside while they are dying on the inside leaving the fuel for the extreme burns we see on the dry years.
